Give today to inspire and change lives through music.
Founded during the Civil Rights Movement as a choir of 23 singers in the basement of the First Unitarian Church of Chicago in Hyde Park in 1956, Chicago Children’s Choir has grown to serve 4,400 youth from all 57 zip codes of Chicago.
CCC founder Rev. Christopher Moore believed that through music making, children from diverse backgrounds could break down barriers and promote understanding and unity in their communities.
For 60 years we have done just that. But with your help we can do so much more.
Over half of Chicago Children’s Choir’s operating budget comes from individual donations, corporate contributions, and grants.
3,600 of our 4,400 students pay $0 in tuition to participate in our programs.
5 of our 10 Neighborhood Choir Programs are 85-100% subsidized.
Your support of our mission provides uniforms for students, performance expenses for Community Concerts, tuition assistance for students in financial need, and tour assistance for invaluable cultural exchanges with other like-minded organizations.
