Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, Veronica has been passionately inspiring young middle school voices to step into their greatness through her energetic and compassionate principles of choral instruction. Veronica draws from her Puerto Rican and Mexican American heritage to guide her use of inclusive teaching strategies and the study and performance of music representing diverse cultures and identities.

Throughout Veronica’s fifteen year tenure in Indian Prairie School District 204, she had the opportunity to work in the communities of Aurora and Naperville as a middle school choral director at Still Middle School and Fischer Middle School. Veronica has contributed to many workshops and training sessions on topics including choral curriculum writing, equity in education and diversifying teaching strategies in education.
