World Music Festival
March 14 @ 3:30 pm
Our annual World Music Festival explores the rich and diverse musical traditions of various countries and cultures. Members of our Neighborhood Choirs, DiMension and Voice of Chicago present an exciting performance that showcases international repertoire. This event is a key component in our curriculum to create global citizens through music.
This year we are joined by Alash, a trio of master throat singers (xöömeizhi) from Tuva, a tiny republic in the heart of Central Asia.
Tickets: General admission tickets to this event are $10* per person. Tickets are available for purchase at the UIC Forum Box Office 90 minutes before the concert. Please note that you will walk through security upon entering the venue.
Entrance: Patrons should enter through the main doors at the corner of Halsted and Roosevelt. This is an accessible entrance.
Voice of Chicago is presented by Allstate.
*Chicago Children’s Choir has a pay-what-you-can policy, allowing patrons to pay as much or as little as they like per ticket, including requesting free tickets if desired. Our hope is that our events remain accessible to everyone while allowing patrons to pay admission at a level that is appropriate to their own circumstances.
