Voice of Chicago - Chicago Children's Choir %

In Fall 2021, Chicago Children’s Choir looks forward to the return to in-person learning! We will modify our schedule according to city guidelines to create a safe environment for our singers to come together in smaller groups, wearing masks and maintaining appropriate distance. If restrictions should change, CCC will be prepared to pivot as needed, while still achieving our artistic and educational goals.

Voice of Chicago is CCC’s most advanced choral ensemble, maintaining an extensive performance schedule that includes touring and collaborations with Chicago’s finest cultural institutions.

Members of this ensemble have performed for former President and Secretary of State Clinton, former South African President Nelson Mandela and His Holiness the XIVth Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso. Additionally, they have performed with celebrities such as Luciano Pavarotti, Samuel Ramey, Andrea Bocelli and Bobby McFerrin.

Voice of Chicago has toured to over 25 nations on five continents, including: Italy, Cuba, South Africa, India, Argentina, Uruguay and South Korea.

Voice of Chicago is presented by Allstate.

The 2021-22 program year runs September 7, 2021 through June 11, 2022 and includes:

  • Two rehearsals per week on Tuesdays (between 5pm and 8pm) and Saturdays (between 9am and 5pm); additional rehearsals scheduled as needed
  • Music theory instruction
  • Several performance opportunities throughout the year
  • Workshops throughout the year by guest artists and culture bearers
  • Connections with youth across the city and around the world

About Voice of Chicago Rehearsals

Small Group Sessions will be scheduled to allow for two rehearsals a week (Tuesdays and Saturdays) and incorporate Music Theory throughout the month. Groups will be assigned to create an optimum learning experience and may change throughout the year.

*Note: Rehearsal times may at times be extended and are subject to change. Wednesday rehearsals may be added, as needed. Rehearsals will end 5-10 minutes early to allow for transition and air exchange between groups, as needed.

About Voice of Chicago’s Audition Process
