Arts Enrichment Sessions - Chicago Children's Choir

About Arts Enrichment Sessions

CCC is a non-profit organization that inspires and unites youth from diverse backgrounds to become global citizens through music.

Arts Enrichment Sessions offer students nationwide an opportunity to connect and explore a wide range of topics including music from specific regions of the world, choreography, musicianship and theory.

Arts Enrichment Sessions are included with registration in any CCC after-school program, providing an unparalleled holistic music education experience. As space allows, these sessions will be available to singers outside of CCC’s after school programs. This facilitates connection with singers between CCC programs as well young people across the country. With a variety of topics, singers can explore personal areas of interest and learn from new conductors.

Session Logistics

Arts Enrichment Sessions are four or eight week courses offering high quality, specialized music education to any interested young person aged 8-18.

All sessions will take place virtually on Zoom between September 14 and February 6 between 4:00pm CST and 7:00pm CST. A link to each one-hour class will be sent prior to the start of each session. A personal device with internet access is required to participate. For educational and marketing purposes, all sessions will be recorded.

Session schedules are as follows:

Session 1: September 14 – November 7
Session 1A: September 14 – October 10
– Session 1B: October 12 – November 7

Session 2: November 9 – February 6
Session 2A: November 9 – December 12
Session 2B: January 10 – February 6
No classes will be held November 22-26 or December 14 – January 9. Many sessions have more than one class time available. There will be a place to indicate your schedule preference, and we will do our best to accommodate requests. Based on enrollment, CCC staff may need to place singers in the next available time-slot or session.

Levels are described as the following:

  • Beginning: Suggested for ages 8-11 or CCC’s Allegro and Vivace ensembles.
  • Intermediate: Suggested for ages 11-14 or CCC’s Vivace, Presto and DiMension ensembles.
  • Advanced: Suggested for ages 14-18 or CCC’s Presto, DiMension and Voice of Chicago ensembles.
